Friends,
I just received this note from Claire's daughter. She wanted me to pass this information along to you.

Hi Marla,
I thought you would like to know that my sweet Bill passed away at about 4:00 today. We were with him when he passed and it was a very emotional but sweet passing. He is loved by so many people and especially his missionaries. If you would like to let them know, that would be great. The viewing will be Tuesday and the funeral will be Wednesday. He is going to be missed dearly! I already do...Just watch for the obituary in the next few days for location and times.

Time to celebrate a wonderful mans life. I wish I was half the man he was... I will miss you president. Thank you for being such a great example to a lonely missionary such as I. One of many things that President Matthews taught me was to ask for forgiveness every night in prayer. Otherwise you take the Atonement for granted. Do not take what Jesus did lightly but utilize the gift that he gave you and that is freedom from you sins if you repent.

I love President and I will miss you dearly thank you for being a true friend and pure example. I have no shame in shedding tears as I write this.

I am trying to find a couple of missionaries that are not listed. Elder Spencer and Elder Vaughn. They both served with Marc Beckstrand (listed on the site) in 1990. Marc baptized me and the other two helped teach me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been a great strength to me and my family!

Well its been a long time and alot has changed. I have been in the Air Force for almost 4 years now. Better late than never I guess. Life has been hard but worth the growth. My first duty station was at Holloman AFB NM. I reenlisted and am now at Hill AFB in near Ogden UT and purchased a home in Syracuse. Within one week here in utah I was reunited with my companion from the MTC Elder Adam Richardson who served in Alaska and Elder Robertson who served with me in Ensley Alabama in 2000. Definitley Lord had a purpose in that. I just wanted to say hi since the last time I was on here was probally some time in 2002. If anyone would like to keep in touch, email me at adambass43@gmail.com. God Speed!!!

I was converted in 1974. By an Elder Cook. I now have three generations of members in my family. and my only son (I have four girls also), has just received a call for Seattle Washington.

I am trying to find "Elder Cook" to let him know that his work was of worth, Alabama is sometimes hard to baptize in, but I am still true to the Faith.

I married a Jordan from the Montgomery Area. We have fed the the elders in our Prattville/Millbrook Ward for about 20 years.

If anybody knows anything about Elder Cook, please pass along this information.

Thanks, Ramona Dillinger Jordan (Winston's mom)

Where did the Birmingham 3rd Branch go? Having served there from 1989 six months and then again my final three months in 1991. I visited in 1998 and they had a nice building by the airport? I checked the church website under Birmingham Alabama stake and it wasn't there???

Hello brothers and sisters I am looking for an elder who served in this mission from November 04-06. His name is Daniel Campbell. He was a spanish elder which from what he told me made him very peculiar. If any of you have any information on how I could get in touch with this elder I would greatly appreciate it if you would e-mail me. Thank you very much.

I would like to make contact with Bill McKinney. I served in Madison back in 1996 and Bill was the greatest man I ever met. It has been a long time since I spoke to him. I doubt he is still in the same place in Madison, but if anyone knows his whereabouts or how to contact him, Elder Beckstead would love to say hi. Thanks.
